AKSU POST UTME AND DIRECT ENTRY SCREENING EXERCISE

Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) is now selling its Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise application form for the 2018/2019 academic session. AKSU post UTME form is obtainable online and the screening exercise has been scheduled for Monday, 23rd July to Friday, 27th July, 2018. See more details below.

This is to inform all 2018 UTME candidates that have recently changed their institutions of First choice to Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) and are unable to register for the ongoing 2018 Post-UTME screening, that they should email a scanned copy of the “JAMB change of course/institution slip” to admissionsupport@aksu.edu.ng
This is to enable us update our records so that they can have access to register on the University portal for the exercise. This information is strictly for those that have effected the change on JAMB’s website.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening exercise for the 2018/2019 academic session.
Eligibility:
Candidates who scored 160 and above in the last UTME examination and chose Akwa Ibom State University as their First Choice institution as well as Direct Entry Applicants.

How to Apply for AKSU Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening Exercise.

The University portal will be opened for registration from Monday, 2nd July, 2018 to Friday, 20th July, 2018. Candidates are required to register online for the screening exercise following the procedure below:
Visit http://portal.aksu.edu.ng to generate Pre-Payment Analysis Slip, by following the steps below:
  1. Click on REGISTER NOW LINK in the Login Page
  2. Select PUTME/DIRECT ENTRY in the Registration-Type Panel and click on PUTME link.
  3. Enter your JAMB registration number and click VERIFY.
  4. On the right hand side of the page showing your details, select CLICK TO MAKE PAYMENT and print the pre- payment slip so generated.
  5. Proceed to the Bank with the pre-analysis slip and inform the Bank teller that you wish to make fee payment for Akwa Ibom State University Post-UTME screening using e-transact.
  6. The Screening fee is N2,000
  7. After payment, repeat steps 1 to 3 above. The payment status on the right side of the page should now show PAID.
  8. Click the “>” symbol at the extreme right hand side of the page to proceed with registration process.
  9. Complete the form and ensure you clearly scan and upload the following documents (with sizes not more than 100KB)
  10. WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Certificate/Result as may be applicable.
  11. Certificate of origin.
  12. 2018 UTME result printout.
  13. 2018 JAMB DE printout (Direct Entry applicants only)
  14. Diploma, NCE or A-level result or certificate (Direct Entry applicants only).
Print three (3) copies of Registration Slip from the portal. This will serve as your screening Photocard. It carries vital information such as the date and venue of your PUTME Screening.
AKSU Post UTME Screening Schedule:
The Post-UTME Screening will hold from Monday, 23rd July, 2018 to Friday, 27th July, 2018.
The Direct Entry Screening will hold on Friday, 27th July, 2018.

JAMB reveals number of registered candidates as registration ends this week

  JAMB has revealed that over 1,223,962 candidates have been registered in the ongoing 2021  UTME  registration while over 63,586 candidates have been registered for the Direct Entry as of May 24th, 2021. This was contained in the weekly bulletin publication of the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) via its official website. According to JAMB, the registration deadline remains May 29th, 2021. JAMB however did not disclose if the e-PIN  vending  will end on the same date as the registration. JAMB, tertiary institutions peg cut-off marks at 140,120, 100

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and heads of over 650 tertiary institutions in the country have agreed on cut-off marks for the 2018 admission exercise. The cut-off marks were part of decisions taken at the 2018 policy meeting by JAMB, university Vice Chancellors, Polytechnic Rectors and Provosts of Colleges of Education, and other heads of tertiary institutions. The policy meeting also approved that the 2018/2019 admission exercise will start on July 17 to October 15 (merit), second choice start October 17 and admission will end December 17. Based on appeal and vote by the heads of tertiary institutions, the policy meeting approved that private universities should end their admission by February ending.
